Broadway babies, have we got a show for you! There's a new half-hour comedy series about the theatre on MGM+. See a clip from season 1, episode 7, "Camelot" where Kristen (played by Laura Linney) performs a monologue from "Our Town" for Richard Bean (Oscar winner Kevin Kline).
In American Classic, Kline plays a Broadway star who moves back to his hometown after suffering a public breakdown following a terrible review from a theatre critic. Back home, he begins producing at his family’s theatre, only to find that there’s plenty of drama on and off the stage. The show also stars Jon Tenney, Len Cariou, Jane Alexander, Jessica Hecht, Tony Shalhoub, Aaron Tveit, Stephen Spinella, Nell Verlaque, Billy Carter, Elise Kibler, Ajay Friese, and Mark Linn-Baker.
