With the 2020 Nuclear Security Index, NTI further opens the aperture to address the risk that a terrorist organization or other non-state actor will acquire a radioactive source to use in a dirty bomb. This year’s report includes a new Radioactive Source Security Assessment, looking at national policies, commitments, and actions to protect against this threat.
The 2020 launch includes speakers Ernest J. Moniz, Amb. Laura Holgate (ret.), Samantha Neakrase, and Hubert Foy.
