The collaboration between Lasvit and Ed Ng & Terence Ngan, the founders of AB Concept studio, produced a sophisticated, fluid piece called FLUX, which builds on the interplay of the ocean, sunlight and sand and incorporates Asian influences with traditional European production techniques.

ABOUT FLUX
The Flux collection was inspired by light reflecting off the ocean in shallow water and the traces left by the receding tide. Each lamp is hand-blown using a metal mold to provide its unique appearance. The clear top meets with inner and outer hand-painted gold and platinum layers, referencing the decoration of traditional Asian ceramics. Its organic lines trap and refract light between the layers to create a deep radiance and the impression of water in motion.

$LASVIT | TRACES AT EUROLUCE 2019 Is it possible to express yourself through light? Can we transform our emotions into a ray of light? Do emotions possess color? Those were some of the questions which our Reader in Perception Katarína Fulínová, and Professor of Interpretation Katka Handlová raised while conducting their experiment which charts the viewers’ emotions through light and color. The installation refracts any kind of emotion. Feeling angry or sad? Go ahead! More emotions create more diverse light. “Traces transforms its look according to the interaction with its viewer, who can leave their emotions written in glass and light,” explains Katarina Fulínová. “Everyone can become a designer for a while and change the look of the whole installation. The installation is ‘alive’, and never looks the same way twice,” adds Handlová. The ladies allow viewers to become co-creator of a spectacular installation which interacts with the viewer’s orientation. The installation was inspired by the cosmic nebula – a giant cloud of dust and gas in space that can enhance the refraction of certain colors and light, and which is in a state of permanent flux. $LASVIT – DUNA BY ZAHA HADID / EUROLUCE 2017 DUNA is a brand new collaboration of Lasvit and Zaha Hadid Design. DUNA was officially unveiled during Lasvits presentation Laterna Magica at Euroluce 2017, Milan. ABOUT DUNA Duna was inspired by the coherent yet abstract logic of dune formations that defy traditional Cartesian geometries. Its design concept is realized in a three dimensional, asymmetrical, pair of intersecting glass forms. The striated surface of the crystal glass produces ever-changing effects of reflection and refraction. Narrowly directed light sources beam light through the mass of glass into the entire glass element, highlighting its geometry.
