Several changes were made to this edition of my title sequence including the following:
- Complete rework of the end vortex to more accurately mirror that used in the official BBC sequence.
- A further revision of HardWire’s excellent series 8 theme.
- One of the large cogs which the camera flies through has been removed as I felt it was a bit more disorientating. I also adjusted some of the texture maps within the first segment and re-rendered with brighter lighting. I also tweaked the Tardis colour to integrate better with the overall palette used.
- Minor colour changes to the cog section too. I’ve also changed the tone of the lightning bolts to a colder shade of blue, rather than pure white.
- Re-render of the Tardis with xmas snow and additional snowy particle effects.
- The unravelling droste clock now has added frost, colour changes and I also brightened the whole thing up slightly.
- I’ve added a camera pull away to give the extra kick when the tardis powers into the distance.
- Nick Frost’s name added to the credits, and I chose to cram all three credits into that section, rather than trying to get it into the end part as per the BBC intro.
- Snowy transitions created for the credits.
- Removal of chromatic aberrations I added to the first intro sequences as YouTube’s compression doesn’t handle it very well and ends up a blurry mess close to the screen edge.
- Change to the main DW logo both in tone and texture.
- A few planets pulled from the final scene just to tidy it up a bit.
- Snowflake sprites added to the gallifreyan style rings within the vortex.
Remember folks, myself and Hardwire (Chris Adams) work very hard to bring you work which we hope you will enjoy watching, however it's not intended to be re-uploaded else where (used in fan series for example).
