The fiber laser creates a white background that contrasts well with the information. The codes, text and logo are then etched on the surface. The small amount of dust generated by the laser process can be kept from the lens with an air knife to maintain the marking quality. A fume extraction system must also be installed, ideally in an enclosed environment to extract fumes more efficiently.
