Larry David provided the voice of Newman in the first appearance of that character in Seinfeld. This was in Season 2 Episode 7 "The Revenge". No actor was seen, but David provided the off-camera voice. Later, Newman was fleshed out into an actual person that was portrayed by Wayne Knight. While Larry David was the voice in the original run of this episode, Knight's voice was later dubbed into these scenes when this episode was aired in syndication.
