In Dry plate photography, a glass plate coated with a gelatin emulsion of silver bromide. It can be stored until exposure, and after exposure it can be brought back to a darkroom for development at leisure. These qualities were great advantages over the wet collodion process, in which the plate had to be prepared just before exposure and developed immediately after.
Recently, you can again purchase dry plates at pictoriographica.com instead of making the plates yourself. When I came to know that there is an experimental product where black glass is coated and developed with a certain monobath, it can produce a positive image. So I shipped in a box and this video documented my attempts in shooting and processing it.
While not every plate was successfully, I learnt a few things and look forward to shooting more.

Is the Nikon F601 (N6006) a hidden gem or a dud? I break down the top 3 pros and cons of this 35mm film camera
The Nikon F-601, otherwise known as the Nikon N6006, is a 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera. It was first SLR camera I own and sort of started my path into film photography. I bought it in 2002 and I still have it today.
The F601 featured an improved autofocus system, motor drive for automatic film advance, a built-in pop-up electronic flash, a top shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second, and a Matrix evaluative multi-zone metering program.
It is compatible with a wide range of Nikon F-mount lenses, including both autofocus and manual focus types.
Strongly recommended for beginners looking for a cheap, good camera to start off film photography.
I share 3 things I like and dislike about this camera and also show a slide show of photos of taken using this camera and a 50mm f1.8 lens with Fuji Provia film.
