Restoration Project #37: Large Format Lens - Part 2
Earlier this year, a friend from Germany asked around if anybody knew about a "weird lens" he found in a dumpster. Having studied a fair bit about photography, I provided some insights and offered my helping paw in an attempt to get it into working order.
Sorry for the slightly suboptimal footage from the "Gear Bushing" fabrication... I couldn't set up the camera at a good spot som most footage was the back of "stage hand" or 100% out of focus...
Anyhow, the lens is working again, makes awesome pictures... but my own large format camera is ever so slightly too small for it. At least it fit with some gaffa tape and woodworking clamps so I could make a nice test picture! I had to downscale the scanned original by 50% otherwise Resolve complained about "out of memory" during render of that B/W image. Sheesh... it's just a smidge over 14*11k pixels...
