LANCE HENRIKSEN, icon of horror and sci-fi films sits for an interview to discuss his relationship with horror films, science fictions and why he and a young James Cameron got along so well.
This is an exciting time for one of Henriksen's most beloved projects, as 'Alien' just celebrated its 45th anniversary, and was re-released in theatres, not to mention 'Alien: Romulus' is being released in theatres just days from now. Recently, the release of his #Aliens also celebrated its anniversary accompanied by 'Aliens Expanded', a four-hour documentary which promises to be the ultimate companion piece to the perennial sci-fi-horror classic.
Of course Aliens picks up the story when Lt. Ripley's (Sigourney Weaver) shuttle ,after floating in space for 57 years, is found by a deep space salvage team. Upon arriving at LV-426, the marines find only one survivor, a nine year old girl named Newt. But even these battle-hardened marines with all the latest weaponry are no match for the hundreds of aliens that have invaded the colony. Part of that new crew is the android, Bishop (Henriksen) who has a love/hate relationship with Ripley.
During the #interview, the legendary Henriksen discusses his really tough childhood, and how that probably fed his love of horror and sci-fi, as well as how he found that artistic spark at a young age, despite the many challenges he had growing up.
