Lancaster County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni says his office has identified the second person whose death was classified by state health officials as measles-associated, but an investigation into the cause and manner of death is still underway.
Pennsylvania health officials announced the two measles-associated deaths last week, marking the first such deaths in the Commonwealth in 35 years.
Diamantoni told FOX43 News his office began investigating whether there were other people who had died after contracting measles. That investigation led officials to identify the second individual, who had tested positive for the measles virus.
