Lagos Targets 3,500MW to Tackle Years of Power Outages  @NTANetworks

Lagos State is stepping up efforts to address persistent electricity shortages with an ambitious plan to generate **3,500 megawatts of electricity**.

The initiative is aimed at improving power supply across the state and reducing reliance on electricity from the national grid, where current supply to Lagos is reported to remain below **2,000 megawatts**.

The proposed expansion is expected to support businesses, households and economic activity as Lagos seeks a more reliable and sustainable electricity supply.
