The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has flagged off the nationwide distribution of heifers and bulls to women and young Nigerians as part of efforts to boost livestock production and create economic opportunities.
The initiative is aimed at supporting beneficiaries to build sustainable livelihoods, increase participation in the livestock value chain, create jobs and contribute to poverty reduction.
The programme represents another effort to unlock opportunities within Nigeria’s growing livestock sector while empowering women and youth to participate more actively in agricultural production.
