Jeff takes this episode of History Hunters to La Grange, California which was founded by French miners around 1850. The town originally began as French Bar until a flood wiped out the settlement and forced everyone to locate up river to the present site of La Grange in 1852.
Jeff details how Queen Elizabeth rolled through town in March 1983 en route to Yosemite National Park and how Michael Landon and Victor French filmed an episode of "Highway to Heaven" in 1984, using the old La Grange Bridge and parts of the town.
Jeff also offers a rare view of the La Grange Dam, built out of stone in 1893.
