On Oct. 4, 2022, experts from NOAA, NASA, United Launch Alliance (ULA), Ball Aerospace, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and L3Harris held a virtual media briefing to preview the upcoming launch and mission of NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System-2 (JPSS-2), the third in a series of five advanced polar-orbiting satellites.

JPSS-2 is scheduled to launch on November 1, 2022, aboard a ULA Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
