Game 4 may have changed the entire direction of this Brooklyn Nets season.
With Kyrie Irving sidelined, Brooklyn was forced to rely on everybody else — and the team responded. The ball movement was better, the offense stayed active, and players throughout the rotation stepped up when their number was called.
Michael Porter Jr. had a huge impact, and even with SGA struggling, Brooklyn didn’t fall apart. Instead, it became a complete team effort.
That brings up a question we didn’t expect to be asking this soon:
Can this team survive without Kyrie Irving?
Kyrie is entering the final year of his deal, although Brooklyn still has a team option. After seeing how well the team played without him, could a trade eventually become an option?
