NBA The Run already feels like it’s heading in the wrong direction, and that’s the problem. In 2026, basketball gaming does not need two arcade-style games fighting for the same lane. NBA 2K has already leaned more arcade than simulation over the years, so if a new basketball title wants to matter, it should be bringing something different to the table — realism, strategy, true team basketball, and a real sim experience.
