KungtuZangpo is the prayer of the Primordial Buddha, The first Buddha. represents the absolute, naked, sky-like primordial purity of the nature of our mind. It is a prayer of The aspiration on the path of awakening to the true nature of reality. It expresses the different forms in which primordial awareness appears and helps us to understand that it is only our clouded understanding that makes things appear as other than they really are.
This aspiration prayer comes from the Dzogchen tantra called the Tantra of the Great Perfection which Shows the Penetrating Wisdom of Samantabhadra. In Tibetan, the short title of this tantra is Gongpa Zangthal Gyi Gyü, which means “The Tantra of Penetrating Wisdom” or “The Tantra of Transcendent Intention.”
A film photography, narrated by Ken Thornton.
Ah Ho! Hereafter whenever a very powerful yogin with his or her
awareness radiant and free from delusion recites this very powerful prayer,
then all who hear it will achieve enlightenment within three lifetimes.
During a solar or lunar eclipse, during an earthquake or when the earth
rumbles, at the solstices or the New Year you should visualize Kuntuzangpo.
And if you pray loudly so all can hear, then beings of the three realms will
be gradually liberated from suffering, through the prayer of the yogin and will finally achieve enlightenment.
