Kenneth F. Thornton II | A Path to Awakening Part 2/3 -- Wisdom and Discerment @shamanizing | Uploaded May 2015 | Updated October 2024, 16 hours ago.
A Path to Awakening Part 2- Kenneth Farnham Thornton II , shares His thoughts that beneath it all we are already Enlightenened, and possibly it is a matter of uncovering the obstacles to reveal this. More info below..
The practice of Dharma is looking directly at the obstacles that obsures our vision from seeing clearly, its being honest with ones self and its not always a pretty site, its looking at our anger, hatred, attachments and jealousies etc, the things that cover up our already enlightened state of being, our true nature.-- one must be brave and strong to face these things, instead of settling for the safety of the mind numbing pretty colourful posts online, unicorns, rainbows, inspirational quotes, an artificial self induced blissfull state of being-- a cloud nine which has no value on growing and progressing on the path, these are just passing things that dont stick! This is a stage i think people go through until they are ready to practice the true dharma.
