After an incredible 33-year run, Busch Gardens Tampa has officially announced that Kumba will take its final ride on August 2nd. Opening in 1993, Kumba quickly became one of the world’s most iconic B&M roller coasters, setting records and thrilling millions of riders with its 7 inversions and unforgettable roar.

But this isn’t the end of Kumba’s legacy.

Busch Gardens has also revealed Kumba’s Revenge, a brand-new attraction that will carry the coaster’s spirit into the future as part of the park’s $100 million investment. While we’ll all miss the original Kumba, it’s exciting to see the park continuing its legacy with a major new addition.
