On Aug. 17, 2023, KULT News visited Akron, OH. Rubber City!
We popped in on City Hall and weaved our way through sky bridges and tunnels and stumbled across the Akron office of US Congresswoman Emilia Sykes (D-OH).
Although Congresswoman Sykes wasn’t in the office this day, we did have a brief exchange with a very rude woman who identified herself as the property manager of Ms. Sykes’ office building.
She wasn’t the first person in the building who claimed to be the property manager so we were somewhat skeptical of her claim, especially in light of her condescending behavior toward us barely a minute after greeting us.
We found our way back to the main lobby of City Hall to grab some business cards and literature before leaving Akron and were shocked at the passive-aggressive treatment we received at the hands of an armed guard, who started lying to city employees about what we had said to him, making it sound like WE were the aggressive ones. IMO, he then lies about lying in a sad spiral of deceit.
