Grafana Cloud Kubernetes Monitoring is a curated, out-of-the-box solution for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters at scale.
It brings logs, metrics, and events together in a single Kubernetes experience within Grafana Cloud, with prebuilt dashboards, alerts, and a dedicated UI. Teams can explore clusters, nodes, namespaces, workloads, pods, and containers in one place, with intuitive drill-downs and navigation between related resources.
Kubernetes Monitoring collects core cluster telemetry using Alloy, including metrics from kubelet, cAdvisor, kube-state-metrics, and node-exporter, along with pod logs and Kubernetes events. Optional integrations add cost visibility through OpenCost and energy usage data through Kepler.
Out of the box, teams get an overview of cluster health and resource usage, curated dashboards for every layer of the Kubernetes stack, and real-time alerts with runbooks for common issues such as pod crashes, rollout failures, and resource overcommit. Shared labels across metrics, logs, and events make it easy to correlate signals and move quickly from detection to resolution.
Kubernetes Monitoring can be deployed via a Helm chart for fine-grained control or set up quickly using the Instrumentation Hub, with support for adding application metrics through integrations or Application Observability as your needs grow.
