Krypto the Superdog began life as a goofy Silver Age sidekick, little more than a marketing ploy to soften Superman for nervous parents. But over the decades he became a symbol of innocence, loyalty, and representative of the ever-changing tone of superhero comics.
In this video I talk about his origins, why he was barely used on screen in Superman: The Animated Series, and shine the spotlight on a forgotten DCAU comic story that brought him back and was incredibly sad! 🐶
