These TASes were made after the fact, using elements from the winning TASes and optimizing them further. They're still not perfect—I only optimized them to the point that they would've placed in 1st had they been made and submitted during the submission period.
Individual task notes:
• Task 1: Completed in 26.789s, a 4-frame improvement over the 1st place submission (26.856 by me). The time save comes from applying the strat used in Baddap's 2nd place submission for grabbing the second fire flower, which was faster than the way I grabbed it in my submission.
• Task 2: Completed in 29.901s, a 6-frame improvement over the 1st place submission (30.001 by Miniland). I basically just tried to copy what Miniland did and it somehow ended up being faster than what they actually did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• Task 3: Completed in 30.417s, a 38-frame improvement over the 1st place submission (31.049 by LosAlexanderos). I made this initially as a test run to get a feel for the task, but assumed that the route could be improved substantially so I never ended up submitting it. (I also never got around to testing other routes, so this is almost certainly still improvable.)

Is it possible to avoid collecting the Alien Medal in a low% (3 HP/minimal items) run? Normally, you get the medal from not taking damage during the Ironhead fight, so to avoid collecting the medal, you would simply have to take damage somewhere...but everything in the room does at least 3 damage, so theres no way to get hit without dying.
HOWEVER...there is a bug in the Switch version of the game where if Player 2 dies, but then immediately afterwards a boss (or an entity with the run an event on death flag) is killed, then the player death event will be interrupted by the death event of that boss/entity, allowing you to continue the game (albeit with Player 2 no longer visible or controllable). So, I had the idea of using this bug to have Player 2 take damage (hopefully triggering the fail condition for the Alien Medal) while also killing the boss, which in theory should allow me to avoid collecting the medal. Does that idea work? This video shows the result....
(Side note #1: Yes, this is not a low% save file since I have Machine Gun and missiles. I got those extra weapons to make it easier for me to record this video.)
