The Media Hoarder | KQED Signoff 1982 @TheMediaHoarder | Uploaded December 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Starts during the end credits of Masterpiece Theatre as they insert a Sedge Thompson voiceover, which PBS stations should have known better than to do- other than that KQED was a quality operation until they started using a logo bug in 1999.
KQEC channel 32 was their "auxiliary" station, which started as a Metromedia independent which gave up then everything was donated. The license was transferred in the 90s to another non-profit after complaints KQED wasn't doing much with it; the new group didn't do much with it either.
