AU in which Kovu and Simba are two common lion cubs living in the Pridelands. They are best friends and soon their feelings turn into first love.
They love looking at the stars together, and when Simba sees two lions in the stars, he tells Kovu it could be them in the future.
Also in this AU the Pridelands are close to human cities and the cubs can go near to watch a Lantern Festival.
Years pass by, Simba and Kovu are grown up, they were separated somehow, it's up to you why.
They miss each other dearly and one night they finally find each other. They are happy again, they look at the stars again and find two lions, they go to the Festival again and Simba proposes to Kovu
Soon they will get married
