FILIPINOS have certainly taken Korea by storm with the advent of the Asian Players Quota IN the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
And so far, these imports haven't been shy in showcasing their skills and have proven that clubs did the right thing in securing their services.
With such significant impact to the team's campaigns, it's no surprise that these players are also paid handsomely.
Korean website Jumpball disclosed the salaries of the Pinoy talents in the Land of Morning Calm as the league has certainly enjoyed the different spice brought upon by our imports.
Among them, Rhenz Abando signed the most lucrative deal with him signing with Anyang KGC for a cool KRW 237 million (PHP 9.75 million) in his debut season.
The report even indicated that Anyang risked exceeding the salary cap set at KRW 2.6 billion (PHP 106.97 million) just to get their hands on the former NCAA MVP out of Letran.
Not far behind was Justin Gutang who inked a KRW 213 million (PHP 8.76 million) deal with Changwon LG Sakers. He has yet to make his debut this season.
Fil-Am guard Ethan Alvano has rewarded Wonju DB Promy with his superb playmaking, earning every cent from his KRW 200 million (PHP 8.22 million) deal.

Excerpt from ‘Bidder Offers $800K For A Piece Of The Late Kobe Bryants Final Game Floor’ article by Samantha Dorisca:
Kobe Bryant’s last time on the court was nothing less than legendary.
The NBA Hall of Famer scored 60 points against the Utah Jazz, leading the Los Angeles Lakers into victory. At the time, both of Bryant’s jersey numbers, 24 and 8, graced the court. He then signed the No. 8 floor piece in celebration, which is now up for auction on Rally.
As AfroTech previously told you, the marketplace turns items, including watches and sneakers, among others “into a company” and splits them into equity shares for collectors to purchase.
Rally shared a promotional video of the asset on Jan. 10 via Twitter.
“Under Kobe’s sneakers on the evening of his final game, during which he scored 60 points, lay pieces of hardwood emblazoned with the two numbers he wore over the course of his career. This is the portion of the court displaying his #8, which he would sign,” the video’s narrator said in Rally’s video. “That April night in 2016, Bryant addressed the sold-out Staples Center crowd leaving them with just two words before placing the mic down at center court and exiting for the last time. ‘Mama Out’ [Bryant said].”
