The beach of Kolimbithres is one of the most famous beaches of Paros and is located in the huge bay of Naoussa. This beach is particularly impressive because of the huge blocks of granite boarding it, sculpted into strange smooth shapes by the sea and the wind over the centuries. It got its name thanks to bizarre rock formations that separate natural cavities filled with water (Kolymbithres). Granite vertical rocks are unusually picturesque and reliably protect tiny bays from currents and strong winds, and the surrounding landscape resembles a lunar landscape.
