This is a playthrough using Goenitz in the Arcade version of The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match. Read on below for more information...
NOTE: Infinite super gauge used for this playthrough.
Goenitz is one of the possible final bosses, and he is a non-selectable character in this version of the game.
===== ABOUT GOENITZ =====
Leopold Goenitz is an integral character of the KOF storyline because he is one of and the head of the 4 Heavenly Kings of Orochi. He has the power to command wind, and is a very powerful character. Significant events involving him include:
---- Blinding Rugal Bernstein in one eye, and then instructing fellow Orochi members Mature and Vice to watch over Rugal as his secretaries. Later, he ordered the pair to do the same with Iori Yagami.
---- Activating the Riot of the Blood in Leona, making her become Orochi Leona which led to the death of her own parents, as well as everyone in her home village.
---- Slayed the then-head of the Yata clan and Chizuru's sister, Maki Kagura.
---- Attempted to end the heirs of the Kusanagi, Yagami and Yata clan (Kyo, Iori and Chizuru) all at once, but failed.
===== GOENITZ IN KOF98UM =====
He has many new animations/sprites which means that he has new Normals when compared to his KOF96 counterpart. Many of these "new" animations/sprites come from SvC Chaos.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
His gameplay generally remains the same as in KOF96 (if you managed to play as him in that), but the significant change is that he has been given a new special move called the Shin Kototsuki Souga which is a dashing grab. Other changes include his Cutting Blades which act as a "catch" on contact (meaning all the subsequent other cuts hit), rather than a "push-away" like in KOF96. He is also able to use his Wind Pillars to hit downed/fallen opponents in certain situations as well.
He no longer has the ability to use DMs without the super gauge.
===== OTHER INFORMATION =====
---- Despite being an unplayable character, he has multiple alternate colour palettes.
---- As he is a non-selectable character, his icon does not appear on the character select screen roster grid.
---- Despite being a non-selectable character, his icon and name appears perfectly in the Ranking screens. It's the same one as in the original KOF98.
---- He does not seem to be part of any special Teams.
---- He has a special pre-fight intro when facing Orochi and Omega Rugal.
---- His prior and post match cutscenes from the original KOF96 are no longer here.
==== ABOUT ARCADE KOF98UM =====
This is basically a remake of KOF'98 which features all the characters in the series from KOF94 to KOF97. As well as new artwork for the new (and some old) characters, it also has new/old stage backgrounds and new or extra music for certain events. The most "significant" feature is probably the addition of Goenitz and Orochi as possible final bosses. Changes are also made to the gameplay and mechanics obviously.

![Super Street Fighter II X [Arcade] - OLD Sagat
This is a play-through using Old Sagat (the previous SSFII version of him) in the Arcade version of Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge. Read on below for more information...
Old/SSFII Sagat is a another version of the regular Sagat. He is a hidden playable character.
NOTE: 1 Continue used deliberately to avoid CPU Akuma at the end.
HOW TO SELECT OLD/SSFII SAGAT
On the character select screen, select Sagat with any button, and immediately input Up, Down, Down, Up and then press LP or LP + LK.
If youve done it correctly youll hear Sagats voice and his portrait colours will change into his original ones.
MOVELIST
Key: QCF = Quarter Circle Forward; QCB = Quarter Circle Back; DP = Dragon Punch motion; UF = diagonal Up-Forward
THROW
Tiger Carry: when close, F + MP/HP or B + MP/HP
SPECIAL MOVES
High Tiger Shot: QCF + P
Low Tiger Shot: QCF + K
Tiger Uppercut: DP + P
Tiger Knee: QCF, UF + K
OLD/SSFII SAGAT DIFFERENCES
As this is the old SSFII version of him, it means that he does not the Super Combo gauge, which of course means that he does not have the Tiger Gen0cide.
Regarding other differences, one of these is that he doesnt have the multiple hitting parts of his HP Tiger Uppercut. Another difference is having faster recovery from his Tiger Shots... making this the better version of him in the game.
ABOUT SAGAT
Famous Muay Thai fighter who got defeated by Ryu in SF1 and has been pretty mad ever since. Works for M.Bison and is one of the main antagonists of Ryu. Also has a blatant disregard for height genetics, and his eye-patch switches to his other eye every time he turns around in the 2D Street Fighter games.
OTHER INFORMATION
Old Sagat has two colour palettes. The first is the original World Warrior colours; and the second is a unique colour that is specially made for Old Sagat.
The second unique colour palette is made specially for SSFIIX/SSF2T.
There is no instance in the game where the CPU is in control of Old Sagat.
Being the 3rd boss, hell always appear as the 11th opponent when the player plays through single player mode.
Being a set boss character in Arcade Mode, you get to have a mirror match against him if you select him as your character to play as.
The bosses and E.Honda are the only characters who do not have a unique backwards walking animation in the SFII series.
As mentioned earlier, in gameplay his eyepatch switches to the other eye when he switches sides. This is due to the functionality of 2D sprite management (unless another complete set of unique sprites are created with his eyepatch on his other eye for facing one way).
He is the only SFII boss who did not get his name switched outside of Japan.

![Super Street Fighter II [Arcade] - play as Balrog
This is a playthrough using Balrog (boxer) in the Arcade version of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. Read on below for more information...
Balrog is the 1st of 4 bosses in this game, and he is a regular playable character.
NOTE: Continues used in this playthrough, some losses cut out to save time and to keep file sizes low.
ABOUT BALROG
Probably the most famous fighting game boxer (in a non-boxing-focused game of course)... back in SFII:WW he was clearly designed to reference Mike Tyson, and the chance of a potential lawsuit from him is the reason on why Capcom USA switched around the names of 3 of the bosses.
In comparison to his WW, CE and HF appearances, he gained a load of new animation/normals for his crouching and jumping attacks, making him a more rounded-out and flexible character. A new special move is also added in the form of the Buffalo Headbutt, which is a great anti-air with invincibility properties at start-up that allows him to escape/dodge projectiles.
Its also interesting on how his new SSFII in-gameplay animations/spritework kind of doesnt match his old spritework.
SPECIAL MOVES
Dash Straight: charge B, then F + [P]
Dash Upper: charge B, then F + [K]
Turn Punch: hold [3P] or [3K], then release
Buffalo Headbutt: charge D, then U + [P]
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA
Being the 1st boss, hell always appear as the 9th opponent when the player plays through single player mode.
Being a set boss character in single-player mode, you get to have a mirror match against him if you select him as your character to play as.
If the player plays through the game as Balrog in his default colour palette (Jab), when you reach CPU Balrog, the CPU Balrog will use the second (Strong/CE) colour instead. This means that there is no instance where the CPU Balrog can use any other colour palette besides the Default (WW) and Strong (CE) colours.
When Balrog is controlled by the CPU, his Turn Punch is slightly different when the CPU does it.
The bosses and E.Honda are the only characters who do not have a unique backwards walking animation in the SF2 series.
He is known as M.Bison in Japan.
To determine him, fighting game players refer to him as boxer.
Capcom have implied that Mike from SF1 is not him.
In the SNES and Genesis ports of the game, in his ending sequence, the two ladies are not in the second picture where he is sitting with the bags of cash.
In the SNES port of the game, in his ending sequence, it does not have the first picture where he has his arm in the air.

ABOUT ARCADE SSFII
As the previous games World Warrior, Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting ran on the CPS-1 hardware with the same base, SSFII was the first proper rebuild or refresh of the game, running on the CPS-II hardware. Almost everything besides the gameplay character sprites has been redrawn, and the character portrait and icon images are completely new. Many of the ending images are also new and/or have been redrawn. The bosses receive proper endings. The superior sound hardware is evident in the new music, voices and sound effects (although some may prefer the previous three games sounds of course).
The most significant new feature is the addition of the four new characters Cammy, Feilong, Deejay and T.Hawk, which of course also brings along four new stages/backgrounds and BGMs.
The gameplay speed reverts back to the CE-esque speed after the fast pace of the previous game Hyper Fighting. This resulted in some complaints of SSF2 being too slow, in which the next game in the series rectified.

This is a playthrough of single-player mode using Shuko in the Neo Geo Arcade version of Double Dragon. Read on below for more information...
Shuko is the last boss of the game, and he is an unplayable character in the Neo Geo MVS version of it.
HOW TO SELECT SHUKO IN THE HOME AES VERSION
On the character select screen, highlight the following characters in the order below:
Billy for 3 seconds, Marian for 3 seconds, Cheng Fu for 3 seconds, Jimmy for 3 seconds
If youve done it correctly, youre hear Marian say Bingo, and Duke and Shukos icons will appear on the top row of the grid.
Remember, this only works on the home AES version of the game.

(special and super move names by myself)
THROWS
- Force Push: when close F + MA or HA or B + MA or HA

- Lightening: DP + Any
- Ground Fireball: F, DF, D + Any

- Teleport: B, F + Any
CHARGE SUPERS (requires Charge gauge)
- Trigger Shadow Attack: DP + 2 Attack buttons
- Slicer: F, DF, D + 2 Attack buttons
BOSS PROPERTIES
Boss Properties (as I call it) defines moves that tend to be very powerful, fast, have high priority or just very unusual. It can also describe the way moves are executed, such as via unorthodox/unusual command inputs (when compared to the regular characters). Shuko has some of these for sure, some of which include:
- Multiple fireball ability. He is able to do fireballs quickly one after each other.
- His Slicer super move comes out fast and if it hits the opponent, follows through for multiple hits with the projectile lasting.
- His Head Stomp involves him teleporting to home in onto the opponent. Its quite fast.
- His Lightening strike comes out fast, covers the entire vertical screen and does high damage.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Despite being a non-selectable character in this version of the game, he appears perfectly on the score rankings screen. You can see this at 33:08 in the video.
- If you beat single-player mode with him, he has no ending.
ABOUT SHUKO
Koga Shuko is a martial arts master and wants to have complete control over all of the street gangs of New Angeles. He seeks to obtain the fabled Double Dragon medallion, a mystical amulet said to grant great power to those who possess it.
PERSONAL NOTES
He has attire that look like pajamas. When moving back or forward, he is one of those levitating-deity-like boss designs who does not need to walk or run.
TRIVIA
- He is of course, based on the main bad guy from the 1994 Double Dragon movie.
- He was formerly known as Victor Guisman.
- His Shadow Attack super move, has him turn into a shadow, go under his opponent and then unleash a flurry of attacks. This is identical to a move used by the Double Illusion in Double Dragon II: The Revenge.
- In the Staff/credits of the game, at the part where the characters intro portrait images scroll across, you get to see Duke and Shukos artwork of this style starting around 32:27 in the video. Their portraits do not appear in the intro.

![Kizuna Encounter [Arcade] - permanent Raged Chung
This is a playthrough using Raged Chung Paifu permanently in the Arcade version of Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle. Read on below for more information...
Raged or Angry Chung is another form of Chung, which regular Chung transforms into after his first lifebar (the yellow bar) is depleted. Obviously this makes this version of him a playable character, but what you cannot normally do is select him as his own character and play as him permanently through the game. By using third-party methods it is possible to do this, as he is programmed into the game as a separate character.
ABOUT CHUNG
Not much is known about Chung Paifu except that he bears a grudge against King Leo. He is also of a very old age and appears to be wizened. His weapon is the Cane of Flames, and he appears to fight using sorcery. He supposedly got his hat from Terry Bogard many years ago.
Personality-wise, he wants to show the world that age has no meaning, and hes out to teach anyone younger than him a lesson in manners and respect.
RAGED CHUNG DIFFERENCES
The main differences between Raged Chung and regular Chung is the addition of two special moves: the Senpuu Enbu and the Chocho Henka.
The Senpuu Enbu has him diving diagonally downwards using his staff like a helicopter blade.
The Chocho Henka is a spell cloud projectile that if it hits (unblocked), the opponent is transformed temporarily into poultry.
Raged Chung is also able to perform a Double Jump.
It should also be noted that his only Raged Chung can perform the Desperation Moves (when compared to regular Chung).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA
On the character select screen, when he is highlighted he appears but his colour palette is wrong. His colours can also switch or copy to other wrong colours here.
On the order/versus screen, when he does his pose he uses regular Chungs ones but the colour palette is wrong. The same applies for the situation where you lose, continue and he enters the character select screen.
When using him in single-player mode, after defeating King Leo he uses regular Chungs ending.
His design is inspired by Master Roshi from the Dragon Ball franchise. Kizuna Encounter [Arcade] - permanent Raged Chung](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/bY84tZxc9PI/mqdefault.jpg)
![Tekken 1 Boss Edition [PS1] - play as Anna Williams
This is a playthrough of Arcade Mode using Anna Williams in the PS1 version of Tekken 1. Read on below for more information...
Anna is the sub-boss for Nina in the game. She is an unlockable playable character in the normal version of it.
ABOUT THE BOSS EDITION
To put it simply, this is the normal game as usual but with the major difference being that the bosses icons appear on the character select screens instead of the regular characters. The 2P Play Mode character select screen also has this change whereby it replaces the regular characters texts.
The interesting thing is that the final boss Heihachi replaces the slot of Kazuya... logically you would think that only the sub-bosses would appear here right? Heihachi being present here results in Kunimitsu not appearing on this screen.
Note that the sub-bosses icon slot appearances here do not replace/match their regular starting character counterparts (for example Anna would replace Ninas slot), meaning that its not a structured appearance. Instead, they are of the same order as when they are all unlocked in the normal version of the game.
The bosses icons on this screen are not just aesthetical... they actually function and do give you the chosen boss when you select them here. Think of it as the bosses being the main characters this time.
I find it rather interesting because normally the bosses icons are never shown on the character select screen (you normally move the cursor off the side of the screen to select the bosses after theyre unlocked).
BOSS EDITION ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- If you select a boss this way and use him/her to beat Arcade Mode, it does not unlock their regular counterpart.
- As mentioned earlier, Kunimitsu is the only boss that does not appear on the character screen due to Heihachi appearing.
ANNA WILLIAMS INFORMATION
- HOW TO UNLOCK ANNA IN THE NORMAL VERSION OF THE GAME:
Beat Arcade Mode with Nina Williams. Anna will then be available on the character select screen by scrolling off the side of the grid.
ABOUT ANNA
As the younger sister of Nina, she plays a semi-important role in the series, as well as providing some visual satisfaction for players. Her relationship with Nina is all about the sisterly rivalry, but away from that, her personality contrasts her sister. Anna is the neglected sister, but this isnt really referenced to much.
GAMEPLAY
She is a derivative of Nina. In the PS1 version of the game (compared to the Arcade one), she is slightly more individual, as she has a few extra moves which are unique to herself, which includes a low hand sweep, a hand thrust strike and a 3-hit slap combo, which were not present in the arcade version. She also has a somersault flip move, which Nina doesnt have in both the Arcade and PS1 versions.
ANNA ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- In the PS1 version of the game, her personal sub-boss is Nina Williams.
- If you beat Arcade Mode with her, she does not have an ending sequence.
- She is a stronger character in the Arcade version of Tekken 1 (where she is non-selectable).
- In the Arcade version of the game, in gameplay, her face is notably different.
- On the character select screen, her portrait image shows her wearing a red top with a collar (most likely a qipao). In gameplay, her outfit is different.
- On the character select screen, her still portrait image the last frame of the FMV portrait from the Arcade version.
- At this time of writing, Anna is 1 of only 4 characters to appear in all but one Tekken game. The game she is not present in is Tekken 4.
ABOUT PS1 TEKKEN 1
This version of the game is virtually arcade perfect, even bettering the Arcade version in a lot of ways, such as:
1) The sub-bosses and Heihachi being made to be unlockable playable characters. They are unplayable in the Arcade version.
2) Extra/new and unique moves for the bosses.
3) A new alternative costume for each of the bosses.
4) FMV endings for the regular characters.
5) Offering an excellent Arranged soundtrack.
The minor downside however is that the character portraits on the select screen are static when you select/confirm them, unlike in the Arcade where they had animation. This is probably done to cut loading times.

![Mortal Kombat II [Genesis] - play as Noob Saibot
This is a playthrough of single player mode using Noob Saibot in the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Mortal Kombat II. Read on below for more information...
Noob Saibot is a hidden CPU-only character in the game, which makes him a non-selectable/unplayable character.
ABOUT MK2 NOOB SAIBOT
Noob Saibot is an unplayable/non-selectable hidden character in all official versions of MKII. Even if you used external methods (such as Action Replay, Game Genie, etc.) to select him and the player tried controlling him, it would cause the game to crash, making it somewhat pointless unless you did it for curiosity or/and experimental purposes. Literally anything you did with him caused the game to crash, and this applies especially to the Arcade and SNES versions.
ABOUT GENESIS MK2 NOOB SAIBOT
The Genesis version of Noob Saibot however, is a bit different because under human control, as he is far more lenient-from-crashing than the Arcade and SNES versions of him. You can do far more things with him without crashing the game.
Another thing that helps is the fact that Noob is a semi-clone of the regular male ninja characters, meaning that he has the structure of a regular character, which means that you wont get the sprite/animation problems you would have with Kintaro and Shao Kahn. This means that you can actually *almost* play him completely like a regular character without the game crashing, making it possible to actually beat the game with him in single-player mode, as long as youre careful and avoid doing the few things which can crash the game! Here is more detailed information on Noob:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Despite being an unplayable character, he actually has a special move available when controlled by a human player, as follows:
...... A glitched projectile move that uses Sub-Zeros sprite poses and ice shards, but all coloured black. It creates a clone of himself which remains on the screen in the dizzy state animation. You can keep repeating this move, but the previous clone disappears and re-appears in the new place you performed the move at. It does not hurt nor affect the opponent, but the CPU opponents do react to it though. The command to do this move is Down, Back or Quarter Circle Back. No button press required.
He has glitched close-up LK and HK (the knee attack) whereby if it hits, he does not go back to a neutral state meaning that he is frozen in the animation. He needs to be hit out of this move for the player to regain to control. You can see this starting around 23:28 in the video.
The CPU Noob Saibot has Scorpions Harpoon special move. The human-controlled Noob cannot do this.
If Noob Saibot is in a match, the text Now You Must Return To The Outworld will appear after he wins or gets defeated.
He can appear on the character select screen, and he even has the proper pose when you confirm him. There are some graphic glitches when he is confirmed though. You can see this starting around 00:35.
When playing as him as a registered character, he is locked to the Blue Portal stage in fights. Even Kintaro and Shao Kahn (who are both usually locked on the Kahns Arena stage) are forced to appear on the Blue Portal if Noob Saibot is present.
His icon on the battle plan screen is the [?] icon.
If you manage to beat the game with him, the game will crash because he does not have an ending programmed in.
He receives generally lower damage than the regular characters. This is normal as it is the same case as CPU Noob.
As a specialist character (hidden), there is no Finish Him/Her feature when he is present.
Sprites-wise, he is a clone of Sub-Zero for the most part, but he has Scorpions Harpoon special move. Only a CPU-controlled Noob can do the Harpoon obviously.

![Tekken 1 Boss Edition [PS1] - play as Kunimitsu
This is a playthrough of Arcade Mode using Kunimitsu in the PS1 version of Tekken 1. Read on below for more information...
Kunimitsu is the sub-boss for Michelle in the game. He is an unlockable playable character in the normal version of it.
ABOUT THE BOSS EDITION
To put it simply, this is the normal game as usual but with the major difference being that the bosses icons appear on the character select screens instead of the regular characters. The 2P Play Mode character select screen also has this change whereby it replaces the regular characters texts.

KUNIMITSU ON CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN
As Kunimitsu doesnt appear on the character select screen in the Boss Edition, additional third party methods (Action Replay, GameShark, etc.) are required to get him to appear on this screen as shown in the video starting from at 00:07
UNLOCK INFORMATION
- HOW TO UNLOCK KUNIMITSU IN THE NORMAL VERSION OF THE GAME:
Beat Arcade Mode with Michelle. Kunimitsu will then be available on the character select screen by scrolling off the side of the row.
ABOUT KUNIMITSU
As an alternative design to Yoshimitsu (in the lore: she was once part of his Manji clan), she offers a unique contrast to the space ninja. In Tekken 1, Kunimitsu is often mistaken as a male character due to the fact that she uses Yoshimitsus voice, and also her physical build being far more closer to a males one. It is known that she and Nina Williams was meant to be the same character according to early concept artwork.
KUNIMITSU GAMEPLAY
Kunimitsu is mostly a derivative of Yoshimitsu for the most part... she does not have the sword strike or sword thrust moves that Yoshimitsu has (which makes sense considering her weapons). The weapons in both of her hands is purely aesthetics and does not seem to have any unique gameplay features.
KUNIMITSU TRIVIA
- On the character select screen, she is the only sub-boss in the game to have the exact same image portrait as one of the regular characters (Yoshimitsu).
- She was changed to be Yoshimitsus personal boss in Tekken 2.
- In her official Japanese and English profiles, she is referred to as male.
- Unlike Yoshimitsu, she has different weapons in her other costume.

ABOUT VEGA
Probably the most famous fighting game narcissist... his design is most certainly unique - a combination of a matador and a ninja. In comparison to his WW, CE and HF appearances, he gained a whole load of new normals and a new special move for SSFII which really developed him into a far more rounded-out and flexible character, to the point that he was almost like an entirely new character. For SSFIIX/SSFIIT, he gains a further special move and also a new super combo.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA
Being the 2nd boss, hell always appear as the 10th opponent when the player plays through Arcade Mode.
Being a set boss character in Arcade Mode, you get to have a mirror match against him if you select him as your character to play as.
The bosses and E.Honda are the only characters in the game who do not have a unique backwards walking animation in the SF2 series.
He is known as Balrog in Japan.
To determine him, fighting game players refer to him as claw.
If he blocks enough times, his claw will be detached. In SSFIIX, you can pick the claw back up.
In SSF2 and SSF2T, even when he is on his own background (Spain), he does not climb the fence when performing his Barcelona Attack. This also means that a CPU-controlled Vega has to use the side wall Barcelona Attack as well.
In gameplay, his claw switches to his other arm when he switches sides. This is due to the functionality of 2D sprite management (unless another complete set of unique sprites are created with his claw on his other arm for facing one way).
Regarding his ending sequence, the image of him holding the mask (the first picture) was not in the SNES port. Also in the SNES port, the second picture of his face and the leaping Vega wasnt a whole picture - they were separate items where it first shows Vegas face, then the leaping Vega would scroll in.

![Soul Edge (JPN) [PS1] - play as Diver (unused character) + demonstrations
This is a playthrough using Diver in the PS1 version of Soul Edge (Japanese version). Read on below for more information...
Diver is an unused gameplay character, which means that she is a non-selectable character in the game.
ABOUT DIVER
Diver is the underwater scuba diver character who appears in Soul Edges ending.
UNUSED CHARACTER INFO
The unused characters are created just to be used in specific character endings; to act in certain ways for the story/scene. They are created as gameplay character models just like the regular characters, likely built on using a regular character as a template, which explains why they have other characters movesets.
The reason that they are able to appear in gameplay fights is because the ending scenes use the actual gameplay characters/models in a gameplay environment.
In the games code, Namco has stored these characters along with the regular characters within the same address (via separate slots/data banks), meaning that by using third party methods, you can access them for gameplay.
It is unknown on whether they were originally further planned to become playable hidden characters or not.
DIVER TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- On the character select screen, her large portrait is the generic hidden character ? image.
- Her icon is the generic hidden character ? image.
- In gameplay, she uses the name SOULEDGE under her lifebar.
- In gameplay, she uses Sophitias moveset.
- In gameplay, her weapon is invisible which means that you can only see the light trails of it.
- She has no voices.
- As she has no voices, it works in a way where her sound bank has the ability to copy other sounds. For example, she copies/uses Soul Edges voices when fighting him. It is strange on how she doesnt copy other characters voices here.
- Regarding her voice, she uses/copies the voices of the previously selected character. So for example, in Arcade Mode if you selected Cervantes, then changed your character to Diver, then Diver will use Cervantes voices. This seems to carry over to other modes in the game.
- She has no announcer name voice. Which means that if you win a round/match with her, there will be no voice after the announcer says The grueling battle ended with the victory of ....... Or if you lost a round/match with her.
- If you beat the game with her, the game does not crash. There is no ending and you go straight to the credits. It seems that they have made her status as a hidden character status (Sophitia!!, etc.)
- She cannot appear in the name entry screen nor can she appear in any rankings tables.
- When viewing her Command List, it is named as DIVER.
- She only has the one costume we see in the video.
- If you select her in Edge Master mode, it will freeze the game, which you see starting around 23:12 in the video.
- In Edge Master mode, her weapon name on the list is glitched. You can see this starting around 23:12 in the video.
- She can lose her weapon and operate as a non-weapon character (this is normal function). You can see this starting around 21:12 in the video.
- Interestingly, she is a character in modern attire in a game set in period times.

ABOUT PS1 SOUL EDGE/BLADE
The PS1 version of the game is one of the all-time greats on the console, and is one of the best conversion/port of an arcade game for its time. Aside from the loading times (which are very short anyway) its virtually arcade perfect. It helped that the arcade original ran on hardware that was already based on the PS1 hardware.
The PS1 version has tons of features that are not found in the arcade original. For example, the port has 2 extra remixed soundtracks, new character costumes, new weapons, cinematic endings for the characters, the superb Edge Master Mode and more. ![KOF98 UM [Arc] - EX Yamazaki, EX Blue Mary & EX Billy
This is a playthrough using the EX versions of the 97 Special team, which consists of EX Ryuji Yamazaki, EX Blue Mary and EX Billy Kane in the Arcade version of The King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match. Read on below for more information...
NOTE: MAX super gauge used; and Continues/losses are cut out of the video to save time and to minimize video size.

For this playthrough, I have alternated between the characters for each match.

On the character select screen, highlight either Yamazaki, Blue Mary or Billy, hold Start and press any attack button to select the Alternate versions of them. Youll know its them because when you press and hold Start, their icons change.
ABOUT EX YAMAZAKI
This version of him is based on his Real Bout Fatal Fury counterpart. He uses his BGM theme from Fatal Fury 3 / Real Bout Fatal Fury. EX Yamazaki is a new alternate version of him that was not in the original KOF98.
ABOUT EX BLUE MARY
This version of her is based on her Real Bout Fatal Fury counterpart. She uses her BGM theme from Fatal Fury 3 / Real Bout Fatal Fury. EX Blue Mary is a new alternate version of her that was not in the original KOF98.

OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA
When all three are selected in your team, they have the 97 Special Team ending image after the credits.
Obviously, they have different moves to their regular counterparts.
They have different images for their character select icons, Order portraits and lifebar icons to their regular counterparts.
They were included into KOF97 as a result of a fan poll.
ABOUT ARCADE KOF98UM
This is basically a remake of KOF98 which features all the characters in the series from KOF94 to KOF97. As well as new artwork for the new (and some old) characters, it also has new/old stage backgrounds and new or extra music for certain events. The most significant feature is probably the addition of Goenitz and Orochi as possible final bosses. Changes are also made to the gameplay and mechanics obviously.
