I am back after my birthday weekend! Now, back to work and regular life and uploading more level reviews to the channel. I hopped on today and found this on my friends tab, played a bit and... decided to upload it. Why? This level doesn't even look the "best"? Well, ill get into that. So about the level's decoration aspect, its not really that great to be fair, when you have a megacollab usually the goal is to give it a theme or a consistent look through out, this one is obviously called consistent cohesion so, its very random per part. Not that I think this was a bad idea, just looks odd and doesn't appeal my eye very much. BUT, I do have to say, its not terrible. I would say it is definitely good enough to get rated and I do think every part is unique in its own way, which was probably the goal im assuming anyway. My favorite part is definitely Alphirox's part in terms of decoration, why? Because I am a sucker for glow levels with on screen effects and made clean and well as Alphirox does it. Kodex360 had some pretty nice parts too, I don't know. My least favorite is probably at 0:28 because I found it very static and boring, not much intensity going on, plus the colors don't change much either, I just found it quite underwhelming. Overall, the decoration is quite subpar but yet, good enough for what im about to explain.
Now, the gameplay makes up for this level in my opinion, the MAIN reason why I uploaded this level in the first place was the gameplay. I found it SUPER fun and smooth to play with no parts being really annoying at all. Some spots here and there are quite tricky so a practice run or two will be beneficial. Kodex360 requested this level for 9 stars but I honestly believe it will get 10 easy demon, because of the random tricks and fast paced gameplay that comes around 0:36 so I don't think 9 stars would be the right rating. Really smooth gameplay and honestly, might beat this again if it gets rated, which is something I do not typically do, as I usually just try to find new levels from other creators.
So yes, overall this megacollab might not be visually appealing (not necessarily the creators itself) because the theme was having different styles in the level. I think it is a cool and unique idea, but to pull that off it would have to be really hard to do. Still, a super fun level to play and go through and I do recommend you giving it a shot. I am happy that kodex360 is trying different things, and switching up his style a bit. Overall I would give this a solid 6.5/10 with the gameplay carrying the level, what do you guys think?
