•Honestly I wanna dip my feet more into uploading other levels than just my own or collab parts I took part in, I recently got into reviewing levels on discord and I feel like branching out to YouTube might not be a bad call. When this level came out I had quite a few interesting points I wanted to talk about mainly because its the last Event level and I wanted to express what I think about this level.
•For starters, ill admit, its a pretty fun level. When I first saw a showcase of this on Nexus and Viprin's channel my first thought was "there is so many camera movements and effects and random little cutscenes going on I have no clue what's happening" but after giving it one go in practice mode in game, it's actually quite fun, I didn't have any complaints at all, just takes a bit of learning on where to tap and what to do, but there isn't anything wrong with that at all in my eyes.
•As for the decoration here is where ill be diving in a little bit more. The first half is using a more pixel block style, which we have all seen lots of since the release of 2.2 in many different forms from different creators. As for myself ill admit, im not the biggest fan of pixel styled levels unless they are done well and correctly, which this level does a fine job at, but again, its not my favorite type of deco. While its done well, and looks good enough in this level, if we are comparing this to the 2nd half, its just not Mythic to me (this level is Mythic in game as im writing this review). Honestly it makes sense to use this style considering it fits the MDK song AMAZINGLY. No doubts about that, theme wise this is perfect for sure. But to me, honestly doesn't make it Mythic, Legendary for sure, but I don't know... I feel like its a bit of a stretch, I wasn't really "WOW'd" by this level, except for the ending that was actually really sick lol. I don't wanna sound like im calling this level bad by ANY means, honestly nothing is ever that deep, if it got rated Mythic, Legendary or even Epic, it seriously doesn't matter at the end of the day, its still a really neat level.
•Talking mainly about 14-46%, is specifically where I am not really crazy for it. If anything I see the vision, it fits the vibe/song, I totally understand why it was made, but if we are talking Mythic... I don't know lol. Again, just my opinion its really not that deep in reality, even if this only got Epic, I would still be saying the exact same thing in this review as any other rating, so I don't wanna come across as "that guy" im just stating my opinion again.
•On a positive note, like I said the 2nd half is SICK. I love all the button gimmicks they did for the gameplay, not only does it feel smooth to play with, it fits the song name (Button Masher) and the overall vibe really well. Those random first person shooter and flappy bird scenes are really sick too, always cool to throw some little interesting things in there to keep the vibes rolling. My favorite part of all is the endscreen for sure, that death effect actually lowkey got me when I was first playing this level (although I already saw a video of this level LMAO). Really cool stuff to see!
•All in all I think this is a Legendary level, but with the Mythic rating im not real mad or upset about it, just thought differently about the rating I guess. Sick last Event level to wrap things up, I believe this is an Easy Demon in game, really solid work to everyone who took part and helped in this level and in previous Event levels!
