ncolyerA Universal Tree and Nether Tree Farm that can be built in as little as 20 minutes providing positive returns on bone meal whilst being surprisingly quick in all 12 modes (oak, azalea, birch, spruce, acacia, jungle, mangrove, cherry blossom, warped and crimson, as well as both red and brown mushrooms).
This is a revised version of an upgraded version of IanxO4's Versatile Tree Farm which now includes automatic item filtering, composting, optimised fungus production, and the ability to handle mangrove trees.

#simple #tree #farmUpgrading my Fastest Nether Tree Farm with Auto Craftingncolyer2024-09-30 | Breaking news! A redstone youtuber has just used a crafter for its intended purpose, and simultaneously copper bulbs too! The result? A fully seamless user experience when using this fastest self-sustaining nether tree farm, along with noticeable speed improvements for playerless mode.
The world download, rates, credits, and further information can all be found below. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Links: See my magnum opus video explaining the original version of the farm: youtube.com/watch?v=p4mmiRDvP1w

This is the most optimal choice to craft stems into on Java Edition. On Bedrock, bowls are actually even better at 76.2% as efficient as charcoal. - 0:55 Sticks can smelt 0.5 items each whilst ladders can smelt 1.5 items each.

This project started in mid-2021 when I was trying to figure out the average amount of wart blocks and shroomlights generated per nether tree and had only just started looking at the generation code for them.
A year later whilst heavily procrastinating study for an English literature exam, I had the thought of working out every possible shape of nether tree that could possibly generate and then taking the weighted average of all of them to find the fabled "average huge fungus".
This method ended up producing a few heatmaps which would soon become invaluable tools for any player interested in designing optimised nether tree farm layouts, including one for the farm featured in this video. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Links: Check out the updated for 1.21+ Anniversary Edition here: youtu.be/R_UxB2nWBAk
- *Playerless only when set to playerless mode. Note: rates drop by 19x - "Hat Height" refers to the value of the variable in the code and not the actual in-game height, which is 1 block higher - 9:03: The way Region() works out what region the given block is in, is it runs a few checks such as are the "x and y coordinates equal to the radius" (corner region), is both the "x and y coord not equal to the radius and the layer isn't the top layer" (internal region), or is the "layer one of the first 3 of the hat and the block is not in the internal region" (vines region), and lastly the negation of all the above regions (external region) - 18:03: This logic system is called a Hysteresis circuit and is compacted in the latest version of this farm - 18:34: This core actually gets in 6 bone meal attempts before it resets. The anniversary edition of this farm has reordered the subtick operations of these dispensers to get in all 8 attempts, giving a 98.3% chance of the fungus growing every 8gt cycle, not 87% (actually 95% in this video). - 22:15: This flashing dust isn't in the final design - 27:17: I missed one vrm block which is 2 blocks above the first vrm block when you walk into the farm on your right ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Music: The soundtrack for this video can be found here: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrSxeYtbiKwMO3T_P5HM9diG&si=nmTCB4cOmn8ouu_P

Or should I say discovering that dispenser output streams are actually a "dynamic system meaning you can use item counts to embed a binary space of a few bits, allowing you to encode boolean operations around discontinuities of the dispenser output function in a phase space of item counts," i.e. Dispenserstone and hence computation using just dispensers in Minecraft -oh wait that's for part 2. Part 1 just touches on how I derived the equation relating prefilled dummy items to the output speed of the dispenser; serving as a delicious appetiser to the upcoming Self-sustaining Nether Tree Farm using Science video.

It solves not only the client desync issues that occur when travelling at excessive speeds, but it removes efficiency losses from player acceleration, negates the need for dolphins, locational end gateways, a boot repair system, the player to be swimming weirdly and carpet bot based chunk loading, as well as allowing each module to be 8 blocks wide letting us process the trees for each module separately so there's no overlap which significantly decreases edge cases that would cause reliability issues (water and tnt overlap between disparate modules). With each module being 8wt we also have enough space to fit endstone into the base block swapper meaning this farm can also now operate in chorus fruit mode and the extra 3 blocks should give us enough room for some debris-less dupers, additional logic and whatever other features we decide to add in the future. But most importantly, the farm can now be built in the overworld again! So no need to setup end gateways and in case you've already generated all your cardinal end gateways then you don't have to fret (although in theory an end gateway version would be like 1% quicker) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Links: Credit to JoaBro for designing the base IET line used in the thumbnail Instant Entity Transport: youtube.com/watch?v=r4-oKWbAIgc IET for Carts: youtube.com/watch?v=sZZ9K-sZL8I Nether Tree Discord: discord.gg/EKKkyfcPPV ProtoTech Discord: discord.gg/GttvgQ3 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►notes & corrections: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►music used in video: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►cool stuff u should check out: Unique Farms: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQur6VX0rG7CYpnD3WDoOIo Nether Tree Science: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQaeFxkt90rWoa_ExidfQMa Fastest Tree Farm Series: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrRulpZg3VCfU5c7NBt_Z8GK Sneak Peeks: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQ-s5qJwV-UpSxBehOkoaMC Discord: discord.gg/nEkazuB Twitter?: twitter.com/ncolyer11 Patreon: bit.ly/2FbtSYV ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Time Stamps 0:00 Intro Cinematic 4:27 IET Explanation 10:31 Teleportation Tech 24:04 Growth Module Upgrade 48:36 4-way Mode Selector 2:01:27 'Simple' Nylium Replenishers 2:31:23 WaveTech Tree Farm Area 2:34:16 Secret Santa :p 2:43:57 A Rudimentary Problem 3:51:00 Logic Demonstration 4:02:08 Growth Module Wiring 5:08:55 Works 1st Try? 5:19:36 Auxiliary b36 tnt Modules 5:39:29 Basic ncore Explanation 5:45:51 Tuning Timings 5:56:25 Mode Selection Showcase 6:07:41 Harvesting Trees Showcase ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #Instant #Translocation #Ncore50 Useless Facts About Technical Minecraftncolyer2022-12-31 | Tired of clicking on 'Things You Didn't Know About Minecraft' videos only to come across cut-and-paste facts like 'turtles drop bowls when struck by lightning'? Crazy stuff I know but it'll allow us to take advantage of end gateways and stuff. Ok i just wanted to interject and mention that I've basically theory-crafted how to finish 99% of this farm, literally just the only thing to figure out is a couple 'maybe that might be an issue' problems such as client desync, tnt placement and lag. The new idea I came up with, like an hour after scheduling this stream, is to actually split the farm down the middle and move all the cores to one side so that the player only plants in front of themselves. This presents unprecedented benefits such as: - While having roughly the same build effort it'd be half as wide but twice as long so it'd fit perfectly between 2 end gateways (so you wouldn't need falling block or an auxiliary accelerating system to boost the player to the nearest gateway after planting) - Making item collection like 10x easier, reducing item entity lifetime and hence lag - The soul speed tunnel could be simplified by an insane amount and would allow for saplings to grow a lot faster than they currently do (rn there's a block obstructing them) - Would give me a bit more room to work with when designing the growth modules, something that I desperately need coz trying to fit in a 3-way block swapper plus everything else in a 5 wide, restricted up and forwards space isn't fun - It'd be easier to take cool screenshots and cinematics of it (see thumbnail of this vod for a clear example of that) - Would make it literally 1000x easier to tile and like 10x easier to build coz every module would be identical (an underrated benefit I reckon) - But, most notably this would fix the biggest issue with this whole thing rn which is the b36 tnt jamming in case 2 trees of sufficient size generate next to each other. This would also reduce overlap in tnt ranges and increase blast chamber efficiency
ok, back on to the rest of the description:
So, what's actually left to do? Well: - Add a switch to toggle to oak mode that obstructs growth so that it always makes big oak - Finish designing the compact growth module, which primarily involves: adding block swappers to switch between crimson, warped and podzol (for saplings and mushrooms) height detection using push limits to optimise the blast chamber actually wiring up the sequence with the powder snow, leaf detection, water sweepers, nylium extension and retraction etc - Crying when the b36 tnt inevitably destroys everything it's not supposed to - Experimenting with different kinds of instant wire to activate the auxiliary processed modules with less latency - Adding an entity acceleration system so the player is boosted back up to 55bps after returning from a gateway - Fungus/sapling distribution for the player, includes sapling + mushroom recycling and building up like 5 continuous fungus farms - Local and global item processing, composting system etc - Boot repair system in case we're forced to use soul speed - Dolphin chaining system - Adding quality-of-life features mainly revolving around the intermittent placement of fungus in between saplings so you don't run out of bonemeal when running it in overworld tree mode - lots of mspt - lots and lots of other shit I couldn't think of off the top of my head - lots and lots and lots of optimising - lots and lots and lots and lots of troubleshooting - Integration hell ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Links: World Downloads: bit.ly/3s556PN Nether Tree Discord: discord.gg/EKKkyfcPPV ProtoTech Discord: discord.gg/GttvgQ3 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►notes & corrections: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►music used in video: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►cool stuff u should check out: Unique Farms: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQur6VX0rG7CYpnD3WDoOIo Nether Tree Science: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQaeFxkt90rWoa_ExidfQMa Fastest Tree Farm Series: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrRulpZg3VCfU5c7NBt_Z8GK Sneak Peeks: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA6IVFzU-XrQ-s5qJwV-UpSxBehOkoaMC Discord: discord.gg/nEkazuB Twitter?: twitter.com/ncolyer11 Patreon: bit.ly/2FbtSYV ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Time Stamps 00:00 Intro cinematic 04:08 VUNTF? 2:18:44 ncore on WaveTech 2:50:00 vuntf growth modules v1.1 3:01:51 'simple' selection system 4:54:40 nylium/podzol block swappers 6:05:01 ncore overarching logic 6:34:29 TLDR (really cool trust me)

Also, sapling and bonemeal return will be 100+% efficient because the ncore is all about harvesting *every* block, including all those rustling leaves.
I had an epiphany that with the addition of just a block swapper to switch the nylium for podzol, the ncore ntf could become a universal (excluding dark oak and mangrove) tree farm meaning that you could also use this enormous redstone mess to harvest more than just those highly saturated fungus blocks...
This is all made possible becoz during our last stream we kinda completely redid the layout for growing and collecting the huge fungus, removing any blocks directly above the fungus growth area meaning that now overworld saplings could be also grown there as there's no longer any blocks to obstruct them.
A warped and crimson fungus farm tutorial that is the fastest possible design you can make, with a single dispenser, as the farm is continuous and never stops bonemealing the nylium. After 1.19 fully released and some mechanics were changed, the farm was impacted a bit so the world download will be slightly different to that shown in the video sorry. I also made a version for 1.18 and below but this is a bit slower because it uses farmland. This is also included in the world download.
►Rates: Rates are the same for both the nether and overworld versions but the nether version produces 0.4 extra mspt Warped: Warped fungus: 17,091 Crimson fungus: 1,315 Warped roots: 111,748 Crimson roots: 1,315 Total bm/h: 11,181 or 12,851 including warped fungus Requires 6,819 Bonemeal/h
Crimson: Warped fungus: 1,328 Crimson fungus: 14,608 Warped roots: 0 Crimson roots: 115,533 Total bm/h: 11,423 or 12,850 including crimson fungus Requires 6,577 Bonemeal/h
Both produce ~0.5mspt (i5-9400f)
All continuous fungus farm designs use 18,000 bonemeal/h but this can be subsidised if you compost some of the drops (See above for exact amount needed/h)
This isn't satire directed at ian, his videos are actually top-quality -literally the best out there- I just thought that it'd be a funny title. I mean what, this isn't a joke video this farm is actually INSANE and heavily underrated!!

Technically started this back in May of 2020 but this specific ncore design originated in January of last year. I wanted to make this video as short and as comprehensive as possible which are usually 2 things that don't go hand in hand, so some information and explanation was left out. If you happen to want some of this information, you can always simply ask in the comments below or on the huge fungus discord linked below.
Green Jab, Heroix, Binary, Dr. Sploosh, vytross and a few others have been hard at work recently designing a brand new nether hub for proto, and today I'm going to lend a hand and build up a few things.
Ore list (a stack of both stone and deepslate variants): Cole, Iron, Copper, Gold, Lapis, Redstone, Diamond, Emerald (not deepslate variant), Nether Gold, Quartz, and 40 netherite
