The Twincrease by Assia Brill is a beautiful, perfectly centered increase that can be used anywhere you need a single increase. The method is shown in continental (yarn held in left hand) knitting style. To use this increase on an item knit at a looser gauge, use the first version shown. To use the increase on an item with a tighter gauge, where the method might pull the fabric in more, prepare the origin stitch on the previous wrong side row, by purling an elongated stitch (double wrap the yarn). This is the second method shown.

Knitting How-to: The Twincrease by Assia Brill. Slip origin stitch purlwise and wrap over the top of left needle, keeping right needle in stitch. Make knit stitch and drop right leg of origin stitch off left needle, then knit left leg of origin stitch.
