The PRR leased a C&O T1 2-10-4 and an N&W A Class 2-6-6-4 during WWII in order to copy one of their designs. They ultimately decided to use the C&O T1 as the basis for what became the PRR J1. But what if they had chosen to go with the N&W A Class instead as the basis for the new locomotive?
