Other very late-upload commission from the same commissioner. Sorry about that. This was another cool combo, Mega Man Game Boy style and Kirby! This commissioner had great ideas, that I could only make real through fake Game Boy style. But I think it sounds ok! I'm learning LSDJ right now though, so this is the last bastion of this vibe.

Im a HUGE Splatoon fan so Im absolutely freaking out about Splatoon 3!!! So I wanted to upload something to celebrate the game coming out soon, and I had this lying around so I figured Id upload it. I actually planned to (and may still) do all three Salmon Run tracks. Buuuut theyre really hard because I want to do that really detailed duty cycling for the cello, and do it at a high tracking speed. So who knows, maybe youll see Fishing Frenzy and Frantic Aspic at some point.
This was inspired by a cover of Molduga from BotW by Titan of Plasma from years ago, namely with the complex string recreation. Im very proud of this covers sound design, like using DPCM as saw harmony and using the original timpani samples in DPCM. Salmon Runs music is some of my absolute favorite in the series, I love the insane combination and the wacky time sigs.")

Its the sequel to my first RushJet1 copycat album, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Remade! I knew I wanted to cover this soundtrack in VRC6 since before I finished the first album. Theres just so much amazing music from this game and I wanted to do this underrated classic justice. Just like the first one, this album has 3 different overworld themes, 6 versions of the classic palace theme, and a bunch of souped-up boss themes.
Im really proud of how this turned out. The nature of this games music allowed me to do more intense, energetic arrangements compared to the creepier, more ambient sound of the first games dungeons. I think my favorites were Island Palace and Great Palace, I got to do some cool stuff with those.
About the video itself: I am not this good at Zelda II. Its heavily spliced; the original recordings were 3 hours in total so a lot of bad attempts were cut. There might be a couple of errors in there, but Im pretty sure I got everything major. It should be a decent way to experience the soundtrack, although Bandcamp is really where you should go.
Finally, you might be wondering whats next. Link to the Past? Links Awakening? Well, Im probably going to take a break from doing Zelda soundtracks for a while. Next time I do a project like this, itll be from a different franchise. And I think Ill take a break from the style anyway. Im imitating the style of someone else, not really cultivating my own, and Ive already tried to separate myself from RushJet1 in this album. Im going to focus on branching out in styles and maybe even trying some originals. Well see.")

I decided to make a regular rival battle theme for the original Pokemons. There are elements of his encounter theme (similar to how Silvers theme incorporates his encounter theme) and his eventual champion theme. I think I did a pretty good job of keeping each inspiration subtle but noticeable and the whole composition within that awful Gen 1 sound. I think this is leagues better than the Elite Four theme I did years ago.")
