The PacBio Kinnex kits are based on the MAS-Seq method, where smaller amplicons (e.g. 16S rRNA, eukaryotic transcripts) are concatenated into an ordered array of 15 – 20 kb that takes advantage of PacBio’s long-read sequencing. After sequencing, the reads are bioinformatically de-concatenated to represent the original amplicons. The three Kinnex kits, Kinnex full-length RNA kit, Kinnex 16S rRNA kit, and Kinnex single-cell RNA kit support different amplicons and multiplexing capacities.
