Kings Island opened it's gates to the public for the season on April 20, 2019. Unfortunately it was raining and cold all weekend. However, that did not stop those who truly love the park from attending the many festivities taking place.
The Beast, Kings Island's flagship coaster, is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this season. Anyone on the first 40 trains on opening day received special T-shirt to celebrate.
International Street got a face lift with new fountains, pavers, paint and such. Festhaus also received an exterior upgrade.
New in 2019 - Kings Island Introduced 'Kings Mills Antique Autos, an attraction that was removed to make room for "Backlot Stunt Coaster" many years ago. I will be getting more footage of this when the weather is better.
Large amounts of clearing are taking place in addition to the removal of Firehawk. Areas all the way from where Dinosaurs Alive once stood, all the way back to racer are being leveled. I will also get more footage of this when the weather is better.
Invertigo is now running with the trains formerly used on Stinger at Dorney Park.
NOTE - I used a monopod to take the clip of Firehawk's former entrance. NEVER GO INTO AREAS OF THE PARK THAT ARE RESTRICTED TO GUESTS.
