This is the 199th episode of Kingdom Hearts, "The Keyblade of Darkness", and is the last of the five episodes derived from Birth by Sleep, Volume 2.
In the finale to the special five-part adventure, Aqua and King Mickey have escaped the Realm of Darkness and have arrived on the Destiny Islands, where Aqua recounts her meeting with Sora and Riku from 12 years earlier, and then is stunned to learn that those same two boys are now assisting Mickey in his quest to rid the worlds of darkness.
In addition, in this episode, we discover that Aqua played a major role in the events near the end of Kingdom Hearts 1, and was even on the Destiny Islands when Mickey and Sora, with their respective Keyblades, closed the door to Kingdom Hearts, but got thrust back into the Realm of Darkness when the worlds were saved back at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1.
