Doug Wimbish, Skip McDonald, and Keith Leblanc are the Original Sugar Hill Rhythm Section, and this (2004) performance opened the Inaugural Wimbash at Sully's Pub & Tiki Bar in Hartford, Connecticut. After "King of the Beat," the band was joined by vocalist Bernard Fowler, making it the first time the band TackHead had played together in 14 years.
This year (Sept. 21, 2013) Doug Wimbish will host the 10th Anniversary Wimbash. TackHead will again be together for the event, joined by Rapper's Delight (the original Sugarhill Gang's Wonder Mike and Master Gee), Living Colour (of which Doug is the bassist), Unlocking the Truth (a pre-teen metal band of note), and many others who have become members of the Wimbash family.
