JANUARY 11-15, 2012 marks the Miami Design Preservation League's 35th Annual ART DECO WEEKEND 2012, and this year, after a three-year hiatus, LIVE MUSIC will return to Miami Beach's Largest Festival, along ten blocks of the World's Largest Concentration of Art Deco Architecture. The Always Energetic OCEAN DRIVE, made famous since the 1930s in Movies, Television, and Fashion Photography, will, on this one weekend will grow more intense as THE CLEVELANDER, and THE BETSY hotels will present a collection of the World's Finest Musicians. Hosted by LIVING COLOUR BASSIST DOUG WIMBISH (also: Original Sugar Hill Rhythm Section, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Seal, Annie Lennonx, James Brown, Al Green, Depeche Mode, and so many more), WIMBASH//MIAMI BEACH will also feature Miami's own SUÉNALO (heard here), Big Sam Williams (Funky Nation, Dirty Dozen Brass Band), Adam Falcon, Ladell McLin, DJ Rampage (Lauryn Hill), Kate Davis (2009 Presidential Honoree), Big Brooklyn Red, Big Poppa E, Swiss Chris (John Legend's Drummer and Musical Director), Keith LeBlanc (Original Sugar Hill, Nine Inch Nails, Sinead O'Connor), and Jungle Funk w/vocalist VINX (Sting, Herbie Hancock, Taj Mahal) joined by Keith LeBlanc (drums) and Doug Wimbish (bass).

[Tack//Head] — The legendary Industrial Funk band (mid-80s collaboration between the ORIGINAL SUGAR HILL RHYTHM SECTION, ON-U SOUND (Adrian Sherwood), and ROLLING STONES (vocalist Bernard Fowler) has recorded a new (Share//Head) album (first in 20 years) set for release (Fall 2011).
