Tonight I’m unboxing two very different e-ink devices: the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft and the Bigme HiBreak Dual.

The Kindle is Amazon’s new large colour writing Kindle: a polished, premium, note-taking device with the full Kindle ecosystem behind it. The Bigme HiBreak Dual is something rather stranger: an Android e-ink phone with a main E Ink display and a small circular LCD display on the back.
So this should be a fun one.
We’ll take a first look at the hardware, screens, writing feel, software, reading experience, colour, refresh speed, and whether either of these devices looks genuinely useful rather than just interesting.
