It is widely known that the Kenku cannot speak - not on their own terms, at least. An ancient curse stole away their voices long ago, forcing them to resort to mimicking the voices of others. Combine this with an unfortunate reputation of being thieves and pickpockets, and young Kina, a Kenku farm girl living in a small village, has a lot stacked against her. But when she hears word of a 'Hopping Goblin Tinkerer' who solves problems with magic and mechanics, she decides, against the wishes of her family, that there may yet be a way to overcome her curse after all...
