I'm testing out a combination of using the Avermedia TV Box with a VGA-to-HDMI adapter to upscale S-Video quality to 1024x768 and then to 4K in my editing software. I'm seeing how it looks for use in future videos. I'm not necessarily looking for the best quality, I'm looking for the quality that looks the most like playing a PS2 on an original CRT TV. I think most PS2/N64 games look better with a little bit of blur to the image. They look a lot more authentic to me as devs would use the blurriness of old TV's to cover up some of the blemishes of the in-game visuals. Outside of 2D games, I would say the PS2 and N64 were designed to look the best on standard def televisions. So, if you read this, let me know: Does this look like playing the game on a CRT back in the day?
