You need to kill Fuelweaver first in order to get the thurible to do this. You can also use bone armor as well instead of using the edge to kill the remaining reanimated skeleton.
Two important things to note.
1)Always have the thurible in your hand until you're out of range to avoid being trapped by the bone cage.
2)Never summon two reanimated skeletons at the same time, as they will try to kill each other first before the guardian.
What you do is summon one skeleton, get that skeleton to fight the guardian, and then summon the other skeleton that will attack the guardian on the other side.
If both skeletons happen to die, then at the very least, you've got a severely weakened guardian to deal with.
This is nice since due to its ease and repeatablility, especially when there are no cheese spots available.
