Like a lot of young men with an interest in film, I loved Kevin Smith as a teenager. But do his movies hold up as an older and (hopefully) wiser person? This video attempts to answer that very question by revisiting the films of the View Askewniverse with a critical eye? From Dante and Randal's saga in Clerks and Clerks II, to the mall misadventures in Mallrats; from the burgeoning relationship in Chasing Amy to the dickless angels of Dogma; and of course, from standing in front of a convenient store selling weed and shit to fighting the Hollywood system. Do any of these films hold up? And if some do, why is that?
I'm hoping for other Smith fans to chime in in the comments. Additionally, please do like and subscribe for more content from Eyebrow Cinema.
