My first clear/full run of the first loop of Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi (ケツイ ~絆地獄たち~) using Type A (Tiger Schwert).
This game is possibly Cave's best, and also one of their hardest as well, with even the first loop being a lot more brutal than many of their other games. The bullet patterns are quite a bit more dynamic and tricky than in other games, creating a somewhat non-intuitive experience for those used to more conventional shooting games.
I did pretty good the first couple of stages but things get drastically harder starting with stage 4 and culminating with a relentless onslaught of enemies in stage 5. The final stage is called Day of Judgement, and it certainly lives up to that name. I lose all of my extra lives and use all of my bombs and just barely scrape by the final pattern of the last boss and somehow didn't choke.
This is probably my favorite Cave game so far, and I will definitely be returning to it in the future to try for the second loop clear.
