California Through My Lens | Kelso Dunes Hike in Mojave National Preserve @californiathroughmylens | Uploaded October 2021 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
The Kelso Dunes are the largest sand dunes in the Mojave National Preserve and are an amazing spot for a desert sunset. The tallest dune is around 650 feet tall and it is reached by a 3 mile round trip trail. Don't underestimate it though as it is tough to hike in the sand. I did this hike at the beginning of October 2021 and here is all the information. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
