The Kelso Dunes are the largest sand dunes in the Mojave National Preserve and are an amazing spot for a desert sunset. The tallest dune is around 650 feet tall and it is reached by a 3 mile round trip trail. Don't underestimate it though as it is tough to hike in the sand.
