I went through a really tough time in my life years ago. A bad relationship I wanted to get out of but felt stuck. And during that time I felt like I couldn't find happiness. But it was like a slow burn where I didn't realize how down I felt until it got really bad. I used to do things like rearrange my furniture or try to change other things in my life, thinking that would make things better. My sister and my friends were such great support. I remember I didn't want them to think I was a dark person, and that underneath this sadness was a loving, empathetic soul, which they knew. When I finally got out of that relationship and started to heal I really found myself and learned a lot from that experience. I wrote this song about that time in my life, and about other women who have experienced this same thing. I had so much fun with the visuals.
