Work on the project proceeded while faced with constantly adjusting to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, including a temporary workforce scale-back (from 1,400 workers to approximately 700) for approximately eight weeks from March to May and a temporary loss of site access due to a blockade. The workforce has since ramped back up to approximately 800 workers and efforts continue as work progresses towards the first unit in-service this October.
