The Kischi Sipi Namao Committee works to protect and grow the Lake Sturgeon population in the Nelson River 🐟 51 baby sturgeon from the Grand Rapids Hatchery were flown to Gillam and released as part of a sturgeon release ceremony. The KSNC recognizes that sturgeon are important to the local communities, and work hard to keep the populations healthy and thriving. Some local schools got in on the fun as well 😁
