I headed down to Kawasaki Station to check out one of the area's most popular tonkotsu gyokai tsukemen shops, Gyoku. Thick pork soup made even thicker with dried fish.

Before slurping, I stopped by to meet my friend Lukas. He's working at a local hotel that focuses on music, food, and beer. On The Marks is just a few minutes from Kawasaki Station, and offers rooms that range from bunks to private doubles. Kind of like a hip hostel if I had to categorize it.
